China's rise in the Pacific

As the US relationship with key allies, including the UK and Germany, turns frosty, Australia appears to be an exception.

Scott Morrison has been invited to a state dinner at the White House when he visits the US in September, the first such honour for an Australian prime minister since John Howard more than a decade ago.

Guest: Hugh White, professor of strategic studies, Australian National University, and former senior official, Defence Department
